Moringa oleifera, good as it is, has got issues surrounding it.
1. Some persons, Nigerians being who they are, probably mixing some other green herbs to increase the volume of the product, thereby adulterating innocent Moringa leaf powder.
2. Others, in a bid to make it faster, or out of ignorance, are busy sun drying our beloved
moringa. Moringa is supposed to be shade dried! NEVER BUY A SUN DRIED MORINGA POWDER. IT WOULD HAVE LOST ALMOST OR MORE THAN HALF ITS NUTRIENTS!
3. There are other species of Moringa - about 12 in number which are not exactly MORINGA OLEIFERA.
Again, others would not know and take the others for our OLEIFERA. Therefore beware!
4. Where is the moringa tree raised? If you plant Moringa trees in a land where lead, arsenic, and other heavy metals are dumped, know that you are invariably consuming them from the moringa products, be it seeds, leaves, roots, etc.
5. Others use INORGANIC FERTILIZER TO MAKE IT GROW FASTER, spoiling our dear Moringa at the end of the show.
ALL MORINGA IS NOT GOOD MORINGA! BE SURE OF THE SOURCE OF YOUR MORINGA PRODUCTS, EVEN THE SO CALLED IMPORTED FROM INDIA/USA!
